DIY Graffiti Canvas Painting
DIY Graffiti Canvas Painting
With it being summer, I’m always looking for cheap, easy, and fun projects to do with my daughter to keep her occupied. We love to do anything that has to do with art (you should see our walls, they are covered in art projects!) so we wanted to try something fun I had remembered seeing on TV a few weeks ago, and so this DIY Graffiti Canvas Painting was created! You only need a few things and a little bit of creativeness and you will have a fun canvas painting for any room of your home! Let’s check it out:
Here is how to make this DIY Graffiti Canvas Painting:
You Will Need:
- Blank Canvas
- Permanent markers
- Spray Bottle
- Rubbing Alcohol
Step 1: Give your kids the markers and let them go crazy! There is really no wrong way to color on the canvas. You could do designs, scribbles, or even a full drawing with anything you wanted on it!
Step 2: Once your design is complete you will pour some alcohol into a spray bottle. Spray your design down with the alcohol and you will see the color start to run and look really cool! (Note, as you can see, black permanent marker doesn’t go anywhere, ha!)
Step 3: Once you have sprayed your design down, flip it right side up and let it dry.It won’t take long to dry, I would say about 10 minutes or so.
Step 4: Enjoy! I love how this turned out! You could also change it up and do different colors that fit different themes, like holidays or your favorite sports team!
