Where are my cat lovers at? We are a home filled with furry friends (4 to be exact!) and we think it’s purrrfect! I love having a cat to home home to and love in the evenings, even if they do require a ton of attention, ha! We recently added a kitten to our household and he is adorable and full of energy! It’s almost summer ya’ll! May is a fun month around my house. It’s the end of school, my daughters birthday, and the Renascence festival. We love going to the Renascence festival every year and my daughter always dresses up. This year we found an awesome princess dress for like $20 at Cracker Barrel for her to wear, but she said that every princess needed a crown. Now mind you, she said this 2 days before we were scheduled to go, so we had to get a little creative. You know I love a good DIY project, so I needed to learn how to make a simple flower crown in a hurry! And so I did, AND it only cost $3/each to make. Hello my fellow Halloween lovers! Tomorrow is officially fall, who else is excited!? I am so glad that I have a kid that loves fall holidays as much as I do. Every year at my daughters school they are not allowed to dress up in full Halloween costumes, but they are allowed to dress in Halloween clothing. So I thought it would be fun to make a DIY Halloween Tutu for my daughter to wear! Something that has always amazed me is the price of tutu’s either in store or online. They can get super expensive. You guys, Halloween is almost here! I am SO excited! I am already sneaking a few decorations up here and there. Only a few at a time so my husband doesn’t get too mad at me haha! Now while I love my Halloween decorations, what I don’t love is having to spend tons of money on them. I don’t know what it is about holiday items being so expensive, but it drives me nuts. So rather than shelling out the money at the big box stores, I find out way’s I can make Halloween decorations at home! So this week I decided to try my hand at a DIY Creepy Ghost Mirror which was inspired by something I saw in the store for $30 that I wasn’t going to spend ha! This project cost me…$2 to make. Yes really! And the cool thing about it is that you can only see the “ghost” if you are standing right in front of it. If you stand beside it it just looks like a dusty old mirror.
