Cheap Table Decor
Cheap Table Decor
I love a great party. I would plan parties everyday if it didn’t involve cleaning before hand. I love to make my guests feel special. I also like to set a mood using what I already have with a couple of cheap exceptions. I thought it would be neat for you to see my dining room and how I change it quickly to make my guests feel welcome and set the mood all it takes is a little cheap table decor and some imagination.
Ahhh, Company is coming get out that china. If you do not have china go to good will and pick up a bunch of random dishes in the same color story. You could also just get white and paint them You could have your guest decorate their own plate with sharpies to take them home. I love to walk around my house and find things that I think would be interesting on my table. I also like to pick up cute things like those pear salt and pepper shakers that I bought at a yard sale for $2. The figurines were my grandmothers. I always suggest thinking of a theme and carrying it out. I wanted a rustic country chic for thanks giving. Do you like my wooden wreathe? It usually hangs on my door. That is the best thing about decorating build layers and build interest. I like yellow it is warm and inviting. I love showcasing what we are eating in a way that looks special. I am positive that my guest felt special with my yellow roses that I spent $5.00 on. The place cards were made by my daughter and I think they are perfect. The best set table is one where your guests know you are glad to have them.
This was my holiday party. I decided to let the food be the star of the show. I picked up a $9.99 table runner. I use it all the time but it breaks up the red table cloth that I have had for years. Then I bought pretty food and real florals. That rosemary tree serves two purposes it smells great and it is festive. I use it all year long. I mean what person doesn’t need rosemary. The photo props are to invite your guest to have a great time and be themselves.
The next party I threw was a Barbie party for a 6 year old. I went to the dollar store and dollar general and I picked up some color paper goods. I bought two table clothes and made a runner out of one. Then I looked around the store and bought fairy wings for $1 each for each chair. I think it makes the party and my guests took them home.
As you can see I used my table runner again. Then I took peppers in a jar to emphasize my Mexican night. I got a nice arrangement of flowers and used a pot I have had for years. I got all of the paper products at the Dollar Tree and I even got the plastic buckets for drinks. This was perfect for a make your own taco night for a group of children but it can easily be used for adults.
This is me, Amee and my daughter. The best party about a great party is the people who share the event with you!
