How To Make An Edible Graveyard For Halloween

How To Make An Edible Graveyard For Halloween

edible graveyard

Can you guys tell that I’m a little bit excited about Halloween this year? Every year we throw a Halloween party for our family and friends, and I’m always looking for fun Halloween food recipes that the kids and adults will like. While grocery shopping over the weekend I of course had to stop by the Halloween section and found the cutest little gravestone peeps! I just knew I had to use them in some type of recipe, and I remember a “cake” my mom used to make me that resembled dirt and worms. That gave me the idea of my Edible Graveyard! My daughter loved the idea, and I thought some of you would too! [Read more…]

Easy DIY Halloween Tutu

Easy DIY Halloween Tutu

halloween tutu

Hello my fellow Halloween lovers! Tomorrow is officially fall, who else is excited!? I am so glad that I have a kid that loves fall holidays as much as I do. Every year at my daughters school they are not allowed to dress up in full Halloween costumes, but they are allowed to dress in Halloween clothing. So I thought it would be fun to make a DIY Halloween Tutu for my daughter to wear! Something that has always amazed me is the price of tutu’s either in store or online. They can get super expensive. This project cost me $5 total, and turned out pretty cute in my oh-so-humble opinion. Would you like to learn how to make one for yourself? Let’s check it out! [Read more…]

Free Father’s Day Printable For Kids: Who is Your Super Hero?

Free Father’s Day Printable For Kids

Father's Day

Father’s Day is for our Super Heroes

With Father’s Day right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking of new ways to show my husband how much he is appreciated and how awesome a father he is to our little girl.  Our daughter is absolutely a Daddy’s Girl.  Since my husband works nights, he isn’t always available to do the same things nine-to-five working dads do with their children.  That’s one of the reasons why when he’s home and not sleeping, our daughter doesn’t leave his side.  This quality father/daughter bonding time is so important for our daughter.  The time she spends with her Daddy is something my husband and I value and cherish.  Taking advantage of these specials moments is something we believe to be a top priority for our family.

Our daughter calls her Daddy her Super Hero and always gets him a super hero themed gift for Father’s Day.  This year I decided to make a super fun printable.  This special printable for kids is super hero themed to go along with his present this year.  If you have a Super Hero for a Dad in your family, be sure to let him know how much he is appreciated.

Every father that works hard and loves his family should feel like a super hero.  It is our job to make sure that happens.  This is why I wanted to share this Free Father’s Day Printable with you.  Your kids can fill it out and share it with their Dad.  Enjoy!

Free Disney Bucks Printable

Who needs Disney tips?  I know I did. I wanted to make sure I got the most out of my money and my child had the best experience. We have 7 tips for getting the most out of Disney for your money. I also wanted it to be a learning experience for us all. We compiled our best tips in our Disney Tips post. We even reviewed Pandora at Disney World.

The next step is to have your children feel like they are part of the experience and teach them responsibility.  That is why we came up with Disney bucks for my fellow Disney lovers.

I wanted to think of a way to set a budget for my daughter and to help her earn her own money to spend while we are there. I am not a fan of a free for all during vacations, so I make sure my daughter knows how much it costs to go, and how hard we work to go. So she loves being able to “work” for her own spending money, and it helps us from overspending as well. That’s why we came up with Disney Bucks!  [Read more…]

Show Some Teacher Appreciation With Back To School Gifts From Aldi!

Show Some Teacher Appreciation With Back To School Gifts From Aldi!

aldi back pack event

Aldi Giving Back Pack Event-As some of you may know, my daughter is at a nee school this year! We have bought our first home that we close on in 2 more weeks! We wanted to go ahead and enroll her in the new school system she will be in when we move so we wouldn’t have to switch schools only a month in. Right now it’s a little stressful as the school is 40 minutes away from our current home. Which means we are driving 40 minutes each way twice a day. While it might be annoying it is 100% worth it. You see this school is a little different than what we are used to. It’s an “arts integration school” which specializes in art, music, and drama. All the things my daughter loves. After one week of attending this school, I know we made the right decision. She has fit right in and really blossomed so quickly. She even made the drama club!  [Read more…]

Well it’s official. The school year has officially started for us. On Monday my daughter started the 3rd grade. (yes, we start school early down here in the south!). This year is a little different than years past. We are starting at a brand new school! We just bought a new house a few towns over from where we currently live, so we are in a whole new school system and a brand new school. We were lucky enough to get her into a local arts integrated school and we couldn’t be more thrilled. So when I was asked to participate in the Giving Back Pack Event sponsored by Wonderful Pistachios I was thrilled! What better way to introduce yourself to a new school than by giving back to your new school right!? [Read more…]
