Skinny Sriracha Tuna Cakes Recipe
Skinny Sriracha Tuna Cakes Recipe
If there is one kind of food that my family and I love above all others it’s spicy food. Even my 7 year old loves her some hot sauce. (weird right? ha!). One of our favorite spices to use is Sriracha sauce. We put it on pizza, chicken, pretty much everything. So this weekend on seafood night (sidenote, having seafood at least one night a week is really good for your health!) we decided to kick our traditional tuna cakes up with a little sriracha, and let me tell you, it turned out awesome and I just had to share the recipe with you. So if you like a little spice and a lot of flavor then you are going to love this Sriracha Tuna Cakes!
Here is how to make my Sriracha Tuna Cakes:
You Will Need:
- 9 oz Tuna (in pouches or in cans)
- 1/3 cup Chopped Green Onion
- 1/2 Cup Gluten Free Panko Breadcrumbs
- 1 Tsp Old Bay Seasoning
- 2 Egg Whites
- 1 Tbsp Sriracha Sauce (More or less depending on how spicy you want it)
Step 1: First, add your ingredients to a bowl and mix with your hands to combine.
Step 2: Form your tuna into patties and fry them in 1 tbsp olive oil. About 3 minutes on each side, or until crispy.
Step 3: Serve with a little extra drizzle of sriracha sauce and enjoy! These Sriracha Tuna Cakes taste great on lettuce wraps, alone, or even on a bun! I always serve a cooling salad along side it to combat the heat as well.
