Soda Can Cake Fathers Day Craft
Soda Can Cake Fathers Day Craft
Fathers Day will be here before you know it and it’s time to start thinking of some ways to make the Father in your life feel special! My daughter and I were thinking of what we could get for my husband this year, because he happens to be the coolest dad I know! There are very few things in life my husband loves more than a cold Mtn. Dew so I had an awesome idea to make him a whole cake of it! This Soda Can Cake Fathers Day Craft was inspired by a diaper cake I had made for a baby shower a few months ago. I just know he’s going to get a kick out of it! You could trade out the Mtn. Dew for any other soda (or beer if he’s into that!) and whatever candy he loves.
Let’s check out how easy this Soda Can Cake Fathers Day Craft is to make!
You Will Need:
- 12 Pack Soda
- Ribbon (we found a “manly” camo ribbon at the dollar tree)
- A Bow
- His favorite candy (We thought Sugar Daddies would be funny!)
- Some of his favorite trinkets (My Husband is also looking for a tape measure and a utility knife)
- A base for your “cake” (We used a cardboard circle)
First, put 8 of your sodas in a circle on your base. Stack the remaining 4 on top. Make sure you have the labels facing out.
Next, take your ribbon and wrap it around both tiers of your cake. I tied mine in a bow on the backside.
Then, it’s time to add the candy! I trimmed my “cake” with tootsie rolls on the bottom, and sugar daddies on each tier. How fun is that right!?
Last, add his favorite trinkets and top with a bow. That’s it! Simple, fun, and sure to make the dad in your life smile.
