How To Make Homemade Bathbombs
How To Make Homemade Bathbombs
School is back in session, which means the holidays are right around the corner. I know it seems like it’s a far way off, but it will be here before you know it, I promise! One of my favorite things to do for the holiday season is make homemade gifts for everyone! Not only will it save you money, but it takes a lot more thought and effort than picking up a gift card, and most of the time, the recipient is going to love a thoughtful homemade gift way better anyways!
Bathbombs are one of my favorite gifts to make at home, because everyone loves a great smelling ball of fizzyness right!? And they are really, really, easy to make! Would you like to learn how? Well keep reading then!
Here is how to make homemade bathbombs:
You Will Need:
- 1 Cup Baking Soda
- 1/2 Cup Citric Acid
- 1/2 Cup Corn Starch
- 1 tbsp Water
- 10 Drops Essential Oils (I used lavender)
- Optional: Food Coloring
Step 1: In a small bowl, mix together your dry ingredients. Slowly add in your water and essential oils. Mix.
Ste 2: If you want to add a little color, use a few drops of food coloring, and mix.
Step 3: Now, you can either (quickly) roll handfuls of your mix into balls and set aside. You could also grab a mold (we used a playdoh Minion Mold!) to make fun shaped bathbombs!
Step 4: Once you have made all your bathbombs you will want to let them dry for about an hour before wrapping up for a gift, or hopping in the bath and using them yourself.
That’s it! I told you it was going to be easy! And it’s a fun way to get into some science with your kids! I hope you enjoy!
