How To Make An Edible Graveyard For Halloween
How To Make An Edible Graveyard For Halloween
Can you guys tell that I’m a little bit excited about Halloween this year? Every year we throw a Halloween party for our family and friends, and I’m always looking for fun Halloween food recipes that the kids and adults will like. While grocery shopping over the weekend I of course had to stop by the Halloween section and found the cutest little gravestone peeps! I just knew I had to use them in some type of recipe, and I remember a “cake” my mom used to make me that resembled dirt and worms. That gave me the idea of my Edible Graveyard! My daughter loved the idea, and I thought some of you would too!
Here is how to make an Edible Graveyard:
You Will Need:
- Chocolate Pudding
- Chocolate Cookies
- Peeps Gravestones
- Peeps Ghosts
- Candy Pumpkins
- Gummy Worms
Step 1: In a casserole dish (or any other deeper dish) prepare your pudding according to package directions. I like to make things as easy as possible, so I used instant pudding. ha! Make sure to let the pudding set before moving on to the next step.
Step 2: Put your chocolate cookies into a ziplock bag and crumble them. The kids love doing this part. They can pound them with their hands or a mallet. You want to make sure they are crumbled pretty well! You will then pour your cookie crumbles on top of your pudding. See your graveyard forming yet?
Step 3: Now it’s time to decorate! Start out by placing your gravestones, and then your ghosts. Make sure you press them down into the pudding so they will stay in place. Finish off your Edible Graveyard with some pumpkins and creepy crawly worms!
That’s it! Wasn’t that easy? And it makes a perfectly spooky dessert for any Halloween festivities! Happy Haunting!

Fun and totally cute! I can see these in individual sizes, for the kids to create their own.
