Halloween Breakfast Foods
I am that mom. The one that embraces tacky treats for different holidays. I want my kids to have something fun to remember and even pass on when they grow up. I am making Halloween Breakfast Foods. I will however, admit I totally cheat. I make things that are easy and require more creativity than ability. I value time enjoying the meal over the time to create one. I hope you enjoy my little slice of crazy as I share my monster muffin idea for breakfast.
This is what I did I bought a box of corn muffin mix. Then I followed the box and made them. Less time well just buy corn muffins that are already made. You can grab any muffin type.
Then you will need to make hardboiled eggs which I had made the night before. This was my level of effort to boil eggs. You can watch how I made evil egg eyes in my gross halloween post ideas.
Then I put the eggs on the muffin. I know you can hardly contain yourself with all the work. I made some bacon in the microwave. I mean is there any other way to cook bacon? This is my type of halloween breakfast foods.
I cut up some peppers and onions and this is what I created…
and …
And if you need a dinner idea…

I make Kahlua coffee, with cream, and serve it to the cold parents. Kids get the candy, dads get hot coffee with a kick. I add a little international coffee or hot chocolate to coffee, a couple of spoonfuls. I made spider cupcakes one year, with the thin strips of black licorice for legs, a LOT of black food coloring to the frosting, then sprinkled on dark chocolate to make it look fuzzy. I used orange skittles for the eyes, and a glob of frosting for the head. Kids remember stuff like that, the little things. I made orange pancakes with eyes (blueberries), a mouth, i cooked a small thin strip of pancake in a crooked mouth pattern, and then added the rest. I colored the pancake syrup red so it looked like blood oozing over it.

Those eggs are a really cute idea. It’s wonderful to have something simple like that in the festive Halloween spirit, instead of feeling like you have to buy prepackaged processed foods.
